Accounting
QUIXOTIC connects energy billing with corporate accounting, automatically generating accounting entries and integrating with major ERPs, including SAP, to eliminate manual processes and ensure financial consistency. It includes an accounting module built into the same environment where billing and payments are managed. Accounting entries are generated automatically and, when needed, can also be recorded manually.
Automatic accounting entries
Every time an invoice is issued or a bank payment is processed, the system automatically generates the associated accounting entries. No duplicated data, no exporting to external tools.
Manual journal entries
For situations that don't come from the automatic flow, QUIXOTIC lets you create manual entries directly from the Accounting module. The system validates that the entry balances before allowing you to save it.
Balance movements and payment allocation
QUIXOTIC lets you record bank transactions (incoming and outgoing transfers) and allocate them to each customer's outstanding invoices. The system shows all invoices with an outstanding amount and ensures you can't allocate more than what was received.
Each allocation is immutable: if a correction is needed, the system generates a new allocation that offsets the previous one. Existing entries are never modified. This guarantees full accounting traceability, since every allocation automatically generates its own accounting entries.
Configurable chart of accounts
Accounts are managed through a chart of accounts within the platform. You can create new accounts at any time and link them to the relevant legal entity. Once created, they're immediately available for use in journal entries.
Multi-entity support
QUIXOTIC lets you manage multiple legal entities within the same environment. Each entity has its own chart of accounts and its own entries. No separate environments, no duplicated infrastructure. More on Multi-brand Organizations →
SAP integration
For energy suppliers using SAP as their primary accounting system, QUIXOTIC works as a subledger. Accounting entries generated in QUIXOTIC are automatically transferred to SAP. The integration adapts to the depth each client needs. More on SAP integration →
